Cupcakes For Celebrations! Elegant Decorations With Rolled Fondant See Photos of Our Students & Their Creations B-I-Y Workshop Series are a series of workshop and clinics designed specially with the needs of our customers and students in mind. Upon completion of these classes, students will be presented with a certificate of completion from The Bake It Yourself Store.
(cupcake photos above as examples only) Learn to bake delicious cupcakes in silicon baking molds, and pick up tips on how to doctor a basic cupcake mix with different flavours, textures and moistness for your own unique creation. Then learn the sugar art techniques and tools to elegantly dress the freshly baked cupcakes with specially textured rolled fondant, delicate laces, small hand-made flowers and finally dust with subtle luster dust for effect - beautifully detailed cupcakes for all special celebrations! Hands-on: Baking (Group Work) and Decorating (Individual Work)
Class Details: Fee: S$100 net (no GST) Class Duration: 3 hours Minimum Class Size: 6 students Pre-requisite: o Baking – None (this class is perfect for novices in baking) o Decorating – Some basic decorating skills preferable but not mandatory (this class is especially suited for those who have attended the Basic Cupcake Decorating Class, although beginners are also welcome.)
Students will receive a B-I-Y-Certificate upon completion and take home cupcake recipe and their own decorated cupcakes baked in class.
You will learn: ' to bake delicious cupcakes from a recipe (students will each take home a copy of the recipe used in class) - group hands-on ' to doctor a basic cupcake mix (how to add flavours, textures) to create your own unique cupcakes - theory only ' techniques to work with fondant g basics of rolled fondant icing. g drape and cover cupcakes with rolled fondant. g create beautifully textured rolled fondant to cover cupcakes g create delicate laces in rolled fondant. g hand mold small sugar flowers (only basics will be taught in this class) g uses of luster dusts
Students are required to bring the following mandatory items for the class: (We recommend that all items brought to class be labeled to prevent loss. We are not responsible for lost items.)
w plastic table liner or towel (at least 20" x 20") w container large and tall enough to carry at least 4 iced cupcakes to take home after class w a plastic bag to take home used items w a bag of dusting cornstarch (about 3 tablespoons of cornstarch wrapped in porous cloth tied together with rubber band) w a pair of scissors
