We make it really simple to enrol for our courses! In addition to enrolling and paying for class fees in person at the Store, you may also download our enrolment form (downloadable form under "B-I-Y Course Studio" on the left navigation bar) to type your information directly into our Class Enrolment Form, then email or fax to us, all in the comfort of your home! Of course don't forget to follow up with your payment via cheque or internet banking. (this form is not required for in-store enrolments and payments). (1) Registration for classes with fees and free demonstrations:
(2) Private Classes (Group or Individual): If your schedule does not permit you to attend any of our scheduled classes, you may contact us at class@b-i-y.com for a discussion on scheduling private classes. (3) Customised, Individually-Designed Classes: We also work closely and personally with students who wish to have a specially designed curriculum. This is an individually designed class where you tell us what you wish to learn and we will design a curriculum for you. Apart from our Wilton trained instructors, we also work closely with pastry chefs who freelance as guest instructors with us for specific clinics or personal classes. We can match your requirements with an instructor whose experience and expertise best meets your learning needs. Course fees for such classes will be determined by the scope, ingredient requirements, timeframe and expertise of your instructor. You will be given a B-I-Y certificate of attendance at the end of the class. So you wish to learn another aspect of baking or decorating that is currently not covered by our regularly scheduled classes, please email Cheryl at cheryl@b-i-y.com for a consultation. (4) Payment Method for Classes: (please do not transfer payment via ATM as there is no possibility of us identifying you as payer and we will therefore not be able to confirm nor refund your payment if you do so.)
(5) Enrolment Confirmation: We will call you to confirm your place after we receive payment. All places in our classes will be confirmed in a first come (full payment received), first confirmed basis. If all places have been taken for the class, we will discuss options of either refunding the payment or offering you another place in another session. (6) Conditions for Fee Refunds: Kindly note a S$2.00 Handling Charge will be levied for all class fee refunds. a. Wilton Method of Cake Decorating Courses 1, 2, 3 and Fondant & Gumpaste & PME Diploma Modules: No refunds will be given once classes have begun (including B-I-Y receiving notification of cancellation on the day of the class). If you wish to cancel or reschedule your enrolment, please give us 5 working days’ notice in writing to class@b-i-y.com. It will be considered cancelled when you receive our email acknowledgement of your cancellation. If B-I-Y receives your cancellation or reschedule request less than 5 working days before the first lesson of the class, 30% of the course fee will be charged. b. All other B-I-Y Courses: No refunds will be given for late cancellations / rescheduling (less then 5 working days before the class). (7) Conditions for Make-Up Lessons: a. Only one make-up class permitted per student for Wilton Method of Cake Decorating Classes. Kindl y note that this is not a student’s entitlement, but is dependent on instructor’s schedule, and upon B-I-Y approval, which will depend on validity of reason. Students must inform their instructor if they are unable to attend a lesson at least one day before the class. If no notification is given by the student, the student automatically forfeits the lesson, which may result in not attaining the Wilton certificate of completion for the course. B-I-Y and / the Wilton instructor is not responsible for following up with absent students. b. There are no make-up classes for all other courses / workshops. (8) Administrative Fees: a. 30% Late Notice Cancellation / Rescheduling Fee - (only applicable for Wilton Method of Cake Decorating Courses 1, 2, 3, Fondant & Gumpaste, and PME Professional Diploma Modules). 30% of your student fee will be charged for cancellations / rescheduling notification 5 working days before start of class. b. Administrative Fee for Reschedules (applicable for all classes). An administrative fee of S$50.00 will be charged for each request to reschedule after the first request. First request to reschedule will not be charged. c. S$2.00 Handling Fee (applicable for all classes) will be levied on all class fee refunds. (9) Cancellations: In the event that a class has to be cancelled due to enrolment not meeting class size minimum, you will receive a refund of your fee payment or may use it as credit for another class within 3 months from the date of the cancelled class. If the credit is unused or no refund is requested, it will expire and no extension will be granted. (10) Purchase of Ready Baked Products: The Bake It Yourself Store does not sell finished baked products like cakes and cupcakes. Any arrangements students make with any of our instructors regarding purchase of ready baked products is a private arrangement between the student and the instructor in question. The Bake It Yourself Store is not in any way responsible nor liable for such transactions. |
